Something Old, or Just Something New?

Weddings are steeped in traditions, some of which are for 'good luck' while others stem from more misogynstic roots- originating from the transfer of 'ownership' from Father of the Bride to the  Groom. While some of these traditions are here to stay, today's newly-wed's are ditching some of the old ways.

Research by Bateaux London has found that only 34% of couples are bothered by sticking with a white dress for the big day (Which according to tradition is meant to symbolise the brides virginity on her big day).
